HIPAA Compliance:
Initial survey of I.T. infrastructure relating to HIPAA standards: computer health, backup health, etc. Many doctors don't realize that HIPAA is more than just data privacy and patient releases. "Covered Entities" must maintain reasonable and appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their EPHI against any reasonably anticipated risks. While I.T. plays an important role in all of these areas, issues of data integrity and availability is where Foxx Den Computer Consulting can most easily provide value without getting bogged down in the intimate details of how their (generally semi-custom) software works.
Services here would include more server-based availability, making sure hard drives are not only configured properly in RAID, but are less than 5 years old (the average live of a server hard drive), that backups are being run and run reliably, added to the aforementioned services to be afforded the home and business computer owner/user.
